The problem with Wi-Fi is what happens to your transmitted signal as it travels through the air between your computer (in your RV or elsewhere) and the access point (the router) that is usually located in the RV park office. Well, I rather imagine that most of the time, nothing happens. But get this! I'm told that there are some people out there that steal the identities of good folk like you and me. Why anyone would want to steal my identity is beyond me but this problem does exist and apparently it's getting worse.

A friend of mine suggested that I take a good look at this article on the web and I strongly recommend that you take a gander at it yourself: "Wi-Fi Security Issues Up Close" by this internet cowboy, Eric Geier. It plumb took me by surprise! But don't take my word for it. Whether you google or gaggle or whatever it is you do, look up Wi-Fi security for yourself.
